September 2023 Report

Throughout september the firefighters of the fire bureau have been busy answering calls, attending training, and multiple other events.
Firefighters from all 7 departments responded to combined 153 calls for service, ranging from EMS related emergencies, structure fires, and vehicle accidents.
Multiple training events ranged from driver operator training, rescue tool familiarization, multiple company drills and EMS continuing education.
Our friends at the Lloydsville VFD were inspected, and successfully passed the requirements for the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Quick Response Service. Which allows members to perform life saving intervention inside DOH EMS protocols.
Several members of the fire bureau companies received life saving awards for CPR saves, a patient rescue during a flooding incident, and unit citations for various incidents.
October surely won’t disappoint as firefighters gear up for multiple fire prevention activities within the community including Lowes Safety Day October 21st, and we finish off our 2023 certification training.
